Throughout the years, Helen Lescheid has published hundreds of
articles in magazines such as: Reader’s Digest,
Guideposts, Decision, Mennonite Brethren Herald,
and others. Some of her articles have been translated into German, French,
Hungarian, Spanish, and other languages.
Helen's stories have also appeared in 40 books written either in English or
in German. She is a regular contributor to Daily Guidepost and
Power to Change.
Helen has published five books:
–Footprints of Compassion, Fraser Valley Custom Printers, 1988, as editor and contributor.
–Lead, Kindly Light, Essence Publishing c. 1999, won an Honorable Mention in the non-fiction book (historical/biographical) category in God Uses Ink Canadian Christian Writing Awards, June 2000. This book, translated into German goes by the title, Neta, Brunnen Verlag 2002 and 2011. www.brunnen-verlag.de.
–Lead, Kindly Light, Tenth Anniversary Expanded Edition (soft cover 259 pages) printed by Pleasant Word, a division of Wine Press Publishing Group, Enumclaw, WA c. August 2009.
–Treasures of Darkness (written under the pseudonym, Esther Manuel) Essence Publishing c. 2004 short-listed for The Word Guild awards. A second printing of Treasures of Darkness was done by Friesens Corporation, 2007. It contains more devotional articles and poems.
