Helen has published hundreds of articles in many magazines such as: Reader’s Digest, Guideposts, Decision, War Cry, Our Family, Discipleship Journal, Campus Life, The Mennonite Brethren Herald, Lydia magazine (Germany), Christian Woman (Australia), Today’s Christian Woman, and in many other magazines. Some of her articles have been translated into German, French, Hungarian, and Spanish.
Helen has contributed to 27 books written either in English or in German. She is a frequent contributor to Daily Guideposts and a contributing editor to With magazine (for youths). Her devotionals have been published in Upper Room, Rejoice! and Retirement With A Purpose and Daily Guideposts.
Helen has published three books:
–Lead, Kindly Light, Essence Publishing c.1999, 2000 which won an Honorable Mention in the non-fiction book (historical/biographical) category in God Uses Ink Canadian Christian Writing Awards, June 2000. Two years later, the book was translated and published by Brunnen Verlag, Germany, under the title Am Morgen Laecheln die Engel. Unfortunately, the book is sold out.
–Treasures of Darkness, Essence Publishing c. 2004 short-listed for The Word Guild awards.

As an inspirational speaker
Helen has spoken at Christian Women’s Clubs, in churches, and other venues in the U.S.A. and Canada. Twice she has been a guest on 100 Huntley Street, a national television program aired out of Toronto, Canada. She’s been a long-time member of Toastmasters International.
